From time to time I post something about Troy Davis,  man who has been on Georgia's death row for nearly 20 years.  The case against Davis is flimsy, yet officials in the Georgia  justice system remain resolute in their determination to execute him.

This video explains things much better than I ever can.

According to the Innocence Project, inaccurate eyewitness testimony is the chief cause of wrongful convictions.  Over 70% of exonerations resulting from DNA testing relied upon eyewitness identification to convict.

In that context, each of us has the potential to be Troy Davis.

Amnesty International is offering, "I am Troy Davis" t-shirts for $8, plus shipping, if you wish to support Troy and the men in his circumstance.

Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

It's nice we don't have the death penalty here, but for Paul Brenardo I wish we had an exception.

We need to abolish the death penalty. Every other civilized country has. Who are we to go around killing other people when it's almost impossible to know for sure in many of those cases. Arghh!

Aren't we all Troy Davis?

That's what I like about this country, enough money for wars and prisons, but not for the things society needs to make it work.

Too sad ; (
