I'm not kidding. Frickin' 108.5 was the high today at our house. This picture of my digital thermometer was taken after it cooled off to 108 even.
Someday in the not too distant future, I intend to spend the summer somewhere cool.

This is why I could not live in Hooterville. DRY HEAT they say, but my one summertime experience there said it was hot as hell!

Might I suggest a summer home on Balboa Island? Del Mar? Dana Point, even? I can't cook, but I can clean, I'm a great babysitter, and I'd be happy with some floor space in the attic or a place to pitch my tent...
