I wish I had internet access at work. Of course, we don't because the authorities are afraid we would misuse it. The boss has access up in her office, but that's it. Same for long-distance service on the phones.
If I had internet access I could find answers to questions that I can't answer. Today a guy asked me about a type of fuse. What does type TL on fuse mean and how does it differ from a type T, he wondered? It was important to him because he had burned out a tye T and all we sell are type TL.
I didn't know and couldn't find out until I got home. There are tons of things like that in the course of the day or week.
Someone wondered today about a fertilizer. It would have been nice to be able to look it up.
The people in charge rarely trust the little people, to their own disadvantage. Few bosses are innovators even though most think they are.
Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

Interesting that you weren't able to look it up ; (
Be careful of people asking 4 fertilizer, or so I've heard.....
It seems unlikely that someone on the floor of a retail establishment would be browsing the Internet for mischievous purposes...all those other people around and everything.
Small distrustful people make the worst managers.
The flower is beautiful!
Forget work, what kind of flower is that? It's beautiful!
Like Coffee said... so I've heard.
Nice bloom! Very Pretty!
I see bees.
Ha ha! I'm at work!
What is that flower. Love the color. Wonder if I can grow them out here?
Get an iPhone. Then you will always have Internet access despite your distrustful management!
I can just imagine if you got an iphone (or better yet, a blackberry) anytime a customer asked a question necessitating a looksee, you would have to go "excuse me, I have to run to the w/c for a moment, but I'm sure when I come back I'll have the answer for you" any small-minded manager who prohibits use of the internet for researching these reasonable questions, has already banned employees from using cell phone (but actually prohibiting employees from unnecessary personal phone calls would be a good think in my managerial book)...
I got a solution: how about a store hotline to the reference desk of the local public library
it's a shame your manager is such a dweeb! I know it's not nice to call one names, but really,.....
To be fair, most employees aren't like you. They're like Megan.
if you get an iphone, set it on vibrate so your boss doesn't get wise.
That's an incredible photo!
