I hope that among your holiday plans you have reserved a small birthday tribute to that famous American, Dino Paul Crocetti.  His birthday is on December 25th.

I grew up watching Dino Paul Crocetti, aka, Dean Martin on the television, first as Jerry Lewis' partner in the silly 1950s movies they made together and later as an accomplished singer, who portrayed a drunken idiot in his TV appearances.

Maybe you liked Dean Martin or maybe not.  Maybe you have no idea who he was.   So here.

Drunken idiots give me the creeps.  Dean's no exception.

Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

When I was little I loved those Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis movies. But then I got older & decided that it wasn't really funny that he was intoxicated all the time.

The Rat Pack loved to drink. Frank Sinatra said "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day."

Mr. Sneed, just want to make a little correction to your information on our Dino....December 25, 1995 is actually our Dino's date of departure from the earth. Dino was born on June 7, 1917. Thanks for liftin' up the name of our Dino and encouragin' others to honor him....never was, never will be anyone as cool as the King of Cool...oh, to return to the days when Dino walked the earth....and btw, loves this clip of Dino singin' his drinkin' parody medley...

I remember seeing him on television doing his drunken shtick when I was a kid. He was parodying his own alcohol problems and reputation, I suppose -- or maybe he was really drunk??
