She's the brains of the outfit, I'm just head of the implementation department.
I blame this on HGTV.
We had an old redwood patio set that was a bit long in the tooth and ready for the dump. A couple of the braces were broken and dogs and human had not been kind to it.
This what the table looked like before I cut it up to make new stuff.
I repurposed it into a low table, more suited to our chairs in the front patio, by cutting off the legs.
I was able to use the bottom half of the old table to make a coffee table. I found this piece of granite countertop that one of the neighbors had thrown out and just set it on top of the legs..
I was able to cut down the chairs into two foot stools like this.
I replaced damaged wood parts, and gave everything a new coat of paint. This stuff will serve us for years more.
Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

That all looks great. LOVE the granite table!
If you're ever up this way, I have furniture in need;-)
Nice!
Nice job! Pretty and serviceable
Great job! I can't bear to throw things out when they still have life in them. You have given your patio a makeover with a small price tag. Good work! You would have gotten along famously with my father...
I can't wait to have a sit-down out there for a couple few many hours. Someday!
You're welcome to visit anytime, Meg. Or anyone else for that matter.
you and the mrs are the king and queen of good ideas!
i could use your talents here on avenue c we have much needing repurposing!
I'm really impressed wuth that makeover. You two could start your very own Home Improvement on a Budget TV show.....
Ms Soup
Totally cool!
Now see, this is when using that overused word, "awesome" would be appropriate. Love the granite table.
Oh, and that "brains" and "implementation department" combination... we have that situation at our house, too.
