This is the FURminator collection of deshedding tools for for dogs and cats. The FURminator is designed to remove excess hair from your pet, rather than having it line every surface of your house.
Note the yellow one, it is the tool for large dogs, like our Lacey the Wonder Dog.
The FURminator line sells for between $37.99 and $72.99 at our local PetSmart store and I assume yours.
The aforementioned yellow tool goes for $62.99 at PetSmartand and at PETCO stores for a mere $54.99.
Call me nuts, but $62.99 for a dog brush seems like Paris Hilton territory.
Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

That price is for people who think their dogs are their children.
We've had a Furminator for some time that works like a charm. It's the bare bones model. I'm pretty sure we would never have paid more than $10 for it, but it has been worth every penny not to have all that dog hair on the floor. Jake loves being Furminated; he thinks it's a massage!
Ouch!
I heartily disagree PC. My dog IS my child but you'd not catch me paying that kind of money for a brush, not even for me.
That price is for people with more money than brains.
some pet things are shady. my friend has to be special food for her dog that she can ONLY purchase at her vet's office. now that is shady to me.
Wow there's really something that removes dog hair? I've found that the best way to keep from having to deal with dog hair is to not have a dog.
Cleanliness is not always the best thing in the world.
File this one under hot tips, Merle. I'd buy one right now if I only had a dog.
I kind of feel like dog hair just goes with the territory. I just vacuum a lot!
