A guy came into our store and asked the cashier if he could use an electrical outlet to charge something. She called the manager to ask if it was okay.
When the manager arrived the guy said that he needed to charge his electronic ankle monitor, which is about to go dead. If it goes dead, the system will notify the authorities that the monitor is inoperable. This is a violation of his parole could cause him to have to go back to the slammer.
So, I'm walking to the back of the store and I see a guy sitting on a five-gallon paint bucket with his leg up on another. A cord is running from his ankle to the wall outlet.
See if they will let you do that at Home Depot.

Wow! That's quite a story. I wonder how he picked Ace for his stay-out-of-jail free card?! That's the ultimate in customer service I'd say. Did he buy anything?
When I retire I want to work in a hardware store.
What a great story! I THINK I would like to work in a hardware store, but I KNOW that I am not well-equipped to work with the general public. No poker face. If think they're idiots they know it.
