“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.” --Albert Einstein.

Many people think that Arizonans are generally a stupid people, based upon news reports.  Those reports are well-founded.

We are plagued in our corner of the USofA by a legislature dominated by the Phoenix East Valley Mormons, a contingent of backwater hicks, hell-bent upon making our state last in all things that matter, and first in ignorance of the way the world actually works.

Anything negative you read about our state is the brainchild of this theocracy, and is probably true.

But our stupidity as a citizenry extends way beyond electing a bunch of knuckleheads to pass embarrassing legislation.

Take our weather for instance.  From about May to November, it is hotter than Hell out here.  It is hot the rest of the year, too, but our brains are numb and we don't recognize 90 on Christmas as hot.

We are actually pulling for global warming to really kick in so that it will cool off a tad. We have been suffering through Global Incineration lately.

This is my thermometer just moments ago.  It has not rained in 72 days now and the prospects are that we are in for at least another week of hot and dry, before the summer rains begin.

So, the next time you think, "Boy those dopes out in Arizona are sure stupid",  I'm your sign.

Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

Shouldn't you have a summer home by now? You know, like a ranch in Montana or something? Fail!

113 is way beyond hot! I can see where it just might melt some brain cells. Can you see Sarah Palin's place from your porch?

I wish I could get my house down to 77 degrees - we're over 80 most of the time.
