I read a news report about a policeman in Villa Rica, Georgia, US of A,  who broke up a ring of Girl Scouts who were selling cookies without a peddlers license.  The officer's boss and the mayor of  Villa Rica quickly stepped in to overrule the cop, and avoid the PR disaster he had unleashed.

In my 60, nearly 61 years of living, I have concluded that the police largely fall into two categories;  those who are charged with solving crime and finding the bad guys and those who are charged with bothering the public at large.  In the abscence of bad guys to find, they find shit to hound the rest of us about.

Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

Seriously - no one should come between me & my Girl Scout cookie fix.

My dad says the worst thing they ever did to cops was have them start handing out traffic tickets, because it makes the public hate them.

i don't know, merle. those chocolate thin mints are pretty addictive. you let the girl scouts off the hook, and it's just a slippery slope to the drug dealers.
