Rene Decartes, a famous philospher who tried to understand us,
Leo Buscaglia, psychologist tried to make the world better one hug at a time,

Cesare Chavez, an agent for social change and the betterment of man,
Al Gore, Vice-President and trying to change the world, literally change the world.

Reah Pearlman, well-known actress, mostly from Cheers reruns these days,
Christopher Walken, actor and generally scary guy, but you gotta love him.

Liz Claiborne, Fashion Maven made some look beautiful, at least on the outside,
Amanda Moody, Miss America from Utah, some people's ideal woman.

Barney Frank, US Representative, was he the first openly gay man elected to Congress? Good for him, either way. And good for us.
Patrick Leahy, US Senator. One of the old liberal guard, still standing watch.

Pius IX and Benedict XIV, a couple of Popes who were a big deal in their time, I'm sure.

Frederik V, King of Denmark/Norway and Henry II, King of Germany, just a couple of obscure monarchs, these days.

Franz Joseph Haydn, a composer who was then and will always be, a big deal.
Johann A P Schulz, still a big deal in hymnals everywhere.

Merle Wayne Sneed, noted 20th and 21st century crank. Neither creative enough or successful enough to make anyone's list but his own. Which is just the way I like it.

We all share today as our birthday.

I'm 60. How is that possible?

Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

Oh, Cesare Chavez...I thought you meant Caesar Milan making the world better one canine at a time. Bottoms up!

Happy birthday! I love your crankiness & hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

That age thing sure is a mystery - why, I'm about 25 in my head. The mirror is a constant disappointment...

Congrats Merle, welcome to the club. Doesn't feel much different than 59, does it? My mind keeps telling me I'm 43. My body tells a totally different story. You and Mrs. Sneed keep enjoying each other and your life for many more years.

Happy belated birthday, my friend. You should celebrate by going to Disneyland! We'd be happy to have another drink with you and the lovely missus!

Happy Birthday ! You share a birthday with DENNIS
( he is 10 years old now--time flies! ) A friend of mine captured Dennis's feral mother when she was about to give birth, so Dennis was lucky to be born inside a house. ( His life has been nothing short of ultra luxurious.) I have to go brush him now.
