Riley is a huge Tiger Woods fan. She is trying to reach into the set and help Tiger with this chip shot. There are fathers who do not love their children; there is no grandfather who does not adore his grandson Victor Hugo If I was a television station instead of a crank with a blog, I would say that I'm live, local and late-breaking. I took this picture just a moment ago. Aiden is taking a long nap after a day of grandfather/grandson fun. Aiden attends a school that has a year around schedule. He is currently on a three-week break and is spending a couple of Monday's with me, today and next Monday. We went bowling this morning and he bowled five games. This was part of my master plan to wear him out so that we both could get an afternoon nap. It worked better than I had hoped. His folks should appreciate this about ten tonight when they are trying to get him to go to bed. We met the other geezers for lunch and made a pit stop at the Dairy Queen afterward. He got an Oreo Blizzard, leaving me to wonder how a 45-pound kid still had room for ice cream? Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

I have bowled with kids his age. I'm very impressed he made it five games!

Aiden must love hanging out with you old guys. Kids at that age can ALWAYS eat something like an Oreo Blizzard. The real question though is who won at bowling? Do they have those gutter liners to help little kids keep the ball in the lane?

There's always room for dessert!

Blizzards are wonderful things.

Aiden won all five games since he was bowling solo. I was in charge of cheering.

We do have bumpers to make it easier on the younger bowlers.

I love to bowl even though I'm terrible at it. I have a natural hook that I could (would?) never tame. I remember my grandmother taking me to her regular Tuesday bowling date. She was really good! She bowled up into her 70s - long after she should have stopped driving.

I always have room for ice cream - it's kind of like jello & just slides on down...

When I look at those cute kids, I know why you don't move to a place that you wouldn't describe as a "hell hole."

I used to like the Peanut Buster Parfait.

I agree re. Blizzards. I could make room for one!

(Can you imagine how hard it must have been for prehistoric cave people to keep their kids fed, given how much a kid can eat???)

I used to teach bowling to adults and kids. The 10 year olds could almost make 3 games. He has the makin's of a tourney keggler.

And then there's Ms. Golf Queen.

45 pound kids require lots of food!
