A couple of guys patiently waiting their turn to score an Easter Egg. I saw a predictable headline in the paper today. Someone was lamenting the intrusion of the Easter Bunny into what should be a sacred day. I have two words for that line of thinking. Lighten up!! Among other things, Easter is a day when we indulge our kid's childhood fantasies, before we introduce them to our more grownup fantasies. After all only a child could believe that an invisible creature cares about them. Right? Anyway, we went to Daughter Sneed's house yesterday for a family brunch. Whatever the holiday, the Sneeds like to get together and eat. Some like to watch golf too, but not all, as it turns out. My two favorite girls. Mrs. Sneed is holding Miss Riley's pacifier in place because she has learned to pull it out, but is not so good at getting it back into her mouth. Is the hand you hold your pacifier in called your pacifist? Things in this blog represented to be fact, may or may not actually be true. The writer is frequently wrong, sometimes just full of it, but always judgmental and cranky

pacifier: I think both the pacifist and/or the peacemaker are acceptable. The two girls are really sweet.

So are the two boys waiting for the loot. Hope the Easter Bunny was as generous as they had hoped for.

(Sacred Day? Well, the Easter Bunny tradition looks pretty sacred for both of those boys, that's good enough, for sure.)

darling girls! The easter basket filled with candy is the only thing I celebrate. what's not to like about a chocolate bunny?
Q: Are some of the New York Sneeds originally from Peekskill? I ask because I posted a BW of Peekskill a few posts ago (a view from a mtn on the other side of the river.) after I posted it I kept thinking -- Peekskill...Sneed... any connection?

Was Miss Riley dressed as a dalmation for Easter? :)

She will probably be directing the egg hunt next year...

This is exactly what my Easter would look like if I had a family.

Only if you're making a fist while you hold it.

I thought the point of Easter was to kick up your heels and celebrate because He Has Risen.

Lighten up is correct both metaphorically and literally!!

Bunnies and eggs are pagan symbols associated with spring equinox, so maybe that's what they're getting all huffy about. I agree with you, as always.
